created in 1921 by coco channel, the perfume It was one of the first to use synthetic materials. to complete its pioneering fashion, Chanel wanted to give the modern woman "a perfume, but an artificial perfume ... not the rose or the valley ... a compound perfume", presented in a typically essential glass bottle that would become an icon in its own right (inspired by a series of works of Andy Warhol decades later).
